Experience Aultman's Angel Auction!
The magic was plentiful 
for the 43rd annual Angel Auction, held Friday, May 4, 2012, at the Canton Civic Center.
With a theme of "Believe in the Magic of Giving," the evening definitely did not disappoint! Proceeds from the event, which will be announced soon, will go toward the Aultman Women's Board pledge of $5 million for the Aultman Cancer Center.
Joshua Jay, an internationally-known magician and conjuror, amazed guests with performances throughout the evening. Josh has performed in over fifty countries and has appeared on national television (most recently on Good Morning America and the Today Show).

The black-tie event was catered by Brookside Country Club.
Appetizers passed during the silent auction included: Mascarpone, red onion and blue cheese tart, Coconut chicken skewers with sweet chile sauce, peppadew peppers with chive Boursin cheese and bacon-wrapped water chestnuts.
A five-course dinner followed, including an appetizer of poached shrimp with a white horseradish sriracha sauce, mizuna and pickled melon; a soup of cream of mushroom with fava beans topped with a savory creme fraiché and crispy shiitake mushrooms; a salad of green and white asparagus with roasted beets and mustard vinaigrette; a main course of braised beef short ribs with marsala morel mushroom sauce served with roasted garlic chive mashed potatoes, English peas, baby carrots and caramelized pearl onions.
A vegetarian option of mushroom ravioli with roasted garlic, spinach, pine nuts and peas was also available.
Dessert included a Grand Marnier truffle, orange almond short bread cookie with raspberry sorbet and lemon cheesecake with raspberry compote.
Under the wings of The Women's Board of Aultman Hospital, the Angel Auction is an annual fundraising event featuring more than 400 silent and live auction items. Since 1969, the Women's Board has raised more than $20 million.The success of this event can be attributed to the hundreds of Women's Board members who donate both their time and talent, along with the generous support from the community.
The auction co-chairwomen for 2012 were Tonya Wright and Jen Clark.
